The much-anticipated Smart City Interchange on the M2 Motorway is now fully functional with the inauguration of the M-Tag facility. Entrance and exit signboards have been installed, officially marking the operational status of the interchange. The construction was completed within record time without delays.
The inauguration ceremony for the CSC Smart Interchange M-Tag was recently held. Chairman Mr. Zahid Rafiq and Group COO Mr. M. Aslam Malik attended the event, reaffirming their commitment to efficient connectivity for residents and visitors.
The interchange’s initial inauguration occurred in May 2024. Groundbreaking started on August 30, 2022, with design and construction adhering to NHA-approved standards. CSC has ensured timely completion of the project, including temporary exits during construction.
Located at KM 332-333 on the M2 Motorway, near the Overseas Central Block and Education District, the interchange reduces travel distances to Islamabad and the airport by 25 km. It offers convenience for residents, students, and visitors while ensuring smooth traffic flow within CSC.
