Punjab has made history as the first province in Pakistan to digitize its development system, leveraging advanced technology to monitor and evaluate project progress. Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb announced that Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz oversees development data through a specialized portal.
With a record-breaking allocation of PKR 844 billion for public initiatives, Punjab is prioritizing equitable development. Key projects focus on healthcare upgrades, education, IT, and skill development, along with the “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” housing scheme.
Environmental sustainability is also in focus, with measures like zigzag kiln technology, bans on plastic bags, and subsidies for clean agricultural practices. The “Clean Punjab” program aims to replicate Lahore’s cleanliness model across all districts.
These innovative efforts, praised by the Punjab Assembly’s Standing Committee, reflect a robust commitment to progress, sustainability, and inclusive governance in the province.
